Gene A. Gregory

Mr. Gene A. Gregory, age 90, of 2930 Santuc-Carlisle Hwy., Union, widower of Nancy Zeigler Gregory, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Gregory was born in Union, January 5, 1933, a son of the late Starks and Annie Lee Gregory. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing. Mr. Gregory was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a member of the BPOE Elks. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Gregory of Union and George Gregory of Daytona Beach Shores, FL; three grandchildren, Tish Brannen and husband Jammie, Bryce Gregory and wife Sasha, and Bridget Gregory and husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Stewart Brannen, Thomas Brannen, Kaden Gregory, Baylee Gregory, Dalton Gregory, Parker Gregory and Braden Gregory; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Jean Gregory, a granddaughter, Gena Gregory and by five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Tim Dunn. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 3:30 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the services. Grandsons and great-grandson will serve as active pallbearers.
