General Lee Brewington

Mr. General Lee Brewington, age 90, of 5858 Cross Keys Hwy., Enoree, widower of Delores Seay Brewington, passed away Thursday November 10, 2016 at his home. Mr. Brewington was born in Fairfield Co., May 25, 1926, a son of the late Bilbie Brewington and Amy Comer Brewington. He was retired from Inman Mills and was a devoted member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Brewington was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are three daughters, Penny Heatherly and husband Larry of Buffalo, Sadie Erwin and husband Jerry of Whitmire and Louise Tesner and husband James of Union; two sons, Michael L. Brewington and wife Karen and Troy Brewington and wife Cynthia all of Jonesville; two step-daughters, Diane Purkhiser and husband Tommy of Woodruff and Judy Snow and husband B.F. of Clinton; 18 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Randy Smith. Burial will be at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Woodruff. Visitation will be held from Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 557 Kelly Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Louise and James Tesner, 119 Almac St., Union.
