George L. Hurst

February 29, 2020 Mr. George Larue Hurst, age 92, formerly of Union, widower of Cleoria Baker Hurst, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Kansas Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas. Mr. Hurst was born in Washingtonville, PA, June 1, 1927 a son of the late Collins and Katherine Rice Hurst. He retired from Conso Products and was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. Surviving are several grandchildren and special friends, Betty Pierce and Jimmy Pierce, Jr. of Union. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jim Wiseman. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
