George Timothy Porter

September 5, 2015 Mr. George Timothy "Tim" Porter, age 52, husband of Amie Mashburn Porter of 2189 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at his home. Mr. Porter was born in Union, September 22, 1962, a son of the late Peggy Porter Ponder and William "Bubblegum" West of Union. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Spartanburg Community College. Mr. Porter was formerly employed with Upstate Linen Service in Spartanburg and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving in addition to his wife and father are a daughter, Alisha Cash of Chester, a step-son, Luke Thomas of the home; a sister, Amanda Sweatt of Lockhart; a grandson, Cayden Cash of Chester and a nephew, Dalton Vinson of Lockhart. Mr. Porter was predeceased by a brother, Billy West. A memorial service for Mr. Porter will be scheduled at a later date. The family will be at the home of his sister, Amanda Sweatt, 404 Longview Drive, Lockhart.
