George F Weaver

Mr. George Franklin Weaver, age 85, of Bailey Rd, Union, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was the married to the late Linda Haney Weaver for 51 years.

Mr. Weaver was born in Alamance, NC, April 15, 1935, a son of the late Henry M. and Mary Ball Weaver. He retired from Michelin Corporation and had worked part-time with the Union Co. Recycling Center.

Surviving are sons, Greg Weaver and wife Lindzey of Union, Brad Weaver and wife Amanda of Buffalo, David Whitehead and wife Kim of West Palm Beach, FL, John Whitehead and wife Bonnie of Wellington, FL and George F. Weaver, Jr. and wife Deandra of Kannapolis, NC; a daughter, Carolyn Tucker and husband Richard of Mt. Ulla, NC; a brother, H. Wesley Weaver and wife Letha of Cornelius, NC; grandchildren include, Jessica Weaver, Bryson Weaver, Nathan Weaver and Colton Weaver. Mr. Weaver was predeceased by two sisters, Dessie Snow and Betty Rodgers and a brother, John Weaver.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the staff and nurses of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home for their care of Mr. Weaver during his time there.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Miriam Mick.  The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the services.

Memorials may be made to Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, Activities Dept., 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union, SC  29379.
