George Howard Weltman

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral service or calling hours for George H. Weltman, age 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, who died on November 28, 2025 at home. He was born December 21, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late George L. and Delores (Nemree) Weltman, and was raised by his step-mother, the late Georgiana (Ritz) Weltman.

George H. Weltman was a refined electrical supervisor for Owens Corning Fiberglas. He retired as an electrical/electronic supervisor for Bayor Corporation. He was a Charter and Lifetime Member of Heath Eagles 3723 of Heath, Ohio.

His hobbies included camping and wood working. He was a Acme Lodge 554 F&AM and he honorably served in the United States Navy as a submariner on the USS Thornback for 17 years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ellen Weltman. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn J. Meredith; a brother, Arthur Leroy; and grandson, Christopher Michael Dye; and great-grandson, Connor Dye.

He is survived by his children, Sondra Dee Edie, George Lanson (Irene) Weltman, Shirleen Faye (Bruce) Collins, Johnna Jean Dye, and Todd Elton (Beth) Weltman; eight grandchildren, Shawna Faye (Matt) Douglas, Geoffrey Dean Edie, Maryellen Jean Murray, Brian Jacob (Ashley) Collins, Brittany Nicole (Ross) Kennedy, Todd Anthony Dye, Wesley Lee (Gina)

Moss, and Dustin Tyler Weltman; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Connor Roy Dean Douglas, Cora Faye Douglas, Joslyn Alexander Murray, Jasmine Marie Murray, Adikis Boone Collins, Madilyn Michelle Dye, Riley Dye, Tucker Austin Dye, Emma Dye, Negan Dye, Morgan Dye, Aubrey Katherine Moss, Luke Harrison Moss, Bentley Nolan Weltman, and Amzie Jade Weltman.

The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
