Mr. Gerald Thomas "Jerry" Gregory, Sr., of 111 Buckstone Lane in Spartanburg, passed on to God's glory on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. He had recently celebrated his 72nd birthday. A native of Union, SC, he was preceded by his parents James and Maude Christie Gregory. Mr. Gregory was a retired store owner who loved to be outdoors. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC. Surviving are his wife Mary Susan Wilburn Gregory of Spartanburg; his brother Jim Gregory and wife Joanne of Roebuck, SC; three children, Lisa Medlock of Union, Susan Nichols and husband Kevin of Rock Hill, SC, and Gerald Gregory and wife Mary of Raleigh, NC; a step-daughter, Leigh Chesno-Vallejo and husband Japhet of Simpsonville, SC; eight grandchildren, Sarah Medlock, Lauren Queen and husband Jeff, Allen Medlock and wife Crystal, Bailey Nichols, Graham Nichols, Kylie Gregory, Walker Gregory, and Jonathan Vallejo. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Union conducted by Rev. Dale Rawlings. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00PM in the Parlor of the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Columbia, SC 29204 or to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615, or to Westminister Presbyterian Church, 104 Pineville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307 or to a charity of your choice. The family will be at their respective homes.
