June 30, 2017 Mr. Gerald Lee Lanier, age 59 of 211 N 1st Street, Lockhart, SC, widower of Mary Childers Lanier, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. Mr. Lanier was born in Union, SC June 10, 1958, a son of the late Bobby Simpson Lanier and Louise Bright Lanier. Surviving are a son, Jackie Lee Lanier of Lockhart; three sisters: Karen Lanier of the home, Robin Palmer and Carolyn Dianne Thomas both of Union. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Lockhart Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the graveside following the service. Memorials may be made to Gerald Lee Lanier Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379.
