Gerald L. Whitlock

Mr. Gerald Lewis Whitlock, age 86, husband of Sylvia Jones Whitlock of Union, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mr. Whitlock was born March 9, 1938, a son of the late James B. and Doris Lewis Whitlock Clay. He was the former owner of Whitmire Café and was a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Katie Whitlock of Georgia and Linda Waldrop and husband Rick of Union; a son, Kenneth Black of Union, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, David Whitlock and Charles Black.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
