Geraldine Hogan Burnette

Ms. Geraldine Hogan Burnette, age 63, 272 Sweet Water Dr., Buffalo, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Ms. Burnette was born in Union, SC on May 31, 1952 a daughter of the late Willie Lee Hogan and Frances McDaniel Hogan. She was formerly employed at Union Medical Center. Ms. Burnette was of the Church of God faith. Surviving are two sisters, Cynthia H. Cooke and husband Samuel and Angela Gail Hogan, all of Union; two nephews, Monty Lee Cooke and wife Tabitha and Jeffery Keith Cooke and wife Cherie all of Union; four great-nephews, Hunter Madison Cooke, Holden Patrick Cooke, Devin Keith Cooke, and Jeremy Adam Cooke; and one great niece, Katie Elizabeth Cooke. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Wayne Cooke. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Monty Cooke, Jeffery Cooke, Hunter Cooke, Eddie Smith, D.C. Smith and Gary West. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday Evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her nephew, Monty and Tabitha Cooke, 203 Lakeview Heights, Union, SC 29379.
