Geraldine Fleming Mitchell

October 19, 1930 — August 28, 2015

Mrs. Geraldine Fleming Mitchell, age 84, wife of Frank Mitchell of 451 Zion Church Rd., Pacolet, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 28, 2015 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Pacolet, SC October 19, 1930, a daughter of the late Vernon "Bunch" Fleming and Bertha Parker "Ma-Bert" Fleming. She was retired from Milliken & Co and was a member of Riding for Jesus Cowboy Church. Mrs. Mitchell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Kay Morgan and husband Randall; two sons: Bobby Guyton and wife Christy and Gene Guyton; eight grandchildren: Mitch Trammel and wife Tracy, Jay Scott Trammel, Alisa Guyton Parsons, Brooks Guyton, Lindsey Guyton Yelverton, Lauren Guyton Blanton, Kristy Morgan Taylor and Heather Morgan Cushman; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Peggy Fleming "Sissy" Padgett. Mrs. Mitchell was predeceased by a daughter, Trina Gayle Mitchell; a son, John Paul Guyton, Jr; a sister, Phillis Fleming Youngblood and brothers, Willie Fleming, Marshall "Bud" Fleming and Samuel "Sam" Fleming. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Riding for Jesus Cowboy Church, 890 N. Hwy 150, Pacolet, conducted by Pastor Mitch Trammel and Rev. Norman Bann. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Steve Fleming, Robin Fleming, Lynn Fleming, Mike Padgett, Donnie Wayne Padgett, Rick Allen, Ted Tipton and Jerry Wayne "Bo" Sewell. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Pennington, Joshua Nicks, Harry Gosnell and Dr. Coy Eaton. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday evening at the church. Memorials may be made to Riding for Jesus Cowboy Church, P.O. Box 26, Pacolet, SC 29372. The family wishes to express a special "Thank You" to Tracy Trammel, Jay and Pam Murphy, Trena Morgan, Ann Queen and Rick and Connie Allen for their love and care of Mrs. Mitchell during her illness. The family is at the home of her daughter, Kay and Randall Morgan, 455 Zion Church Rd., Pacolet. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:" II Timothy 4:7.
