Gladys Virginia Gault Rhymer

Mrs. Gladys Virginia Gault Rhymer, age 94, widow of Gay Rhymer, formerly of 146 East Forest Dr. Union, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Rhymer was born in Union, January 30, 1924 a daughter of the late Jessie Warren Gault and Mattie Scales Gault. She was a graduate of Kelly-Pinckney High School and was retired from Milliken and Co., Monarch Plant. Mrs. Rhymer was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Ronald E. Gault of Union; a grandson, Ronald E. Gault, Jr. and wife Peggy of Union; and a sister, Rachel Gault Culbreth of Lyman. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 1:45 until 2:45 Wednesday at the church prior to the services. Active pallbearers will be Charles "Buddy" Vanderford, John Lancaster, Buddy Rhymer, Terry "Red" Green, Shane Parks and Jackie Redmon. Mr. Franklin White is asked to serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family wishes to express a special "Thank You" to the staff and nurses of Crescent Hospice and Heartland of Union for their care of Mrs. Rhymer.
