Gladys Tucker Lawson

July 31, 2017 Mrs. Gladys Tucker Lawson, age 95 of 1125 Fields Rd., Pauline, widow of Lamar Lawson, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Landrum Hospice House. Mrs. Lawson was born in Union, SC a daughter of the late Barry Tucker and Janie Sherbert Tucker. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and was retired from Conso Products and had formerly worked at Buffalo Mill and Pick and Pay Shoes. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are four children, Margaret Mills of Moore, Laura Knox of Pauline, Raymond Lawson and wife Evetta of Pauline, and Janie Fowler and husband Buddy of Pauline and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Melvin Shelton. The family will receive friends following the services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Road., Buffalo, SC 29321. The family is at the home of 1125 Fields Rd., Pauline, SC 29374.
