Glenda (Nelson) Adams

Mrs. Glenda Nelson Adams, age 82, of 151 Park Drive, Jonesville, widow of Donald Dean Adams, Sr., passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Adams was born March 9, 1941, in Union, a daughter of the late George Nelson and Thedora Mitchell Nelson.  She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and Cecil's Business College.  Mrs. Adams was retired from Conso Products where she worked in Customer Service.  She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she had previously served as Church Secretary, a former member of the WMU, and Happy Heart.

Surviving are three sons, Dean Adams and wife Julie of Jonesville, Mark Adams of Jonesville, and Jay Adams of Jonesville; a sister, Carol Vinson and husband Jimmy of Union; four grandchildren, Jade Steadman and husband Justin, Charner Adams, Mitch Adams, and Anthony Verna; an "adopted" grandson, Creed Harvey; a great-granddaughter, Emma Steadman; two nieces, Donna Bentley and Carla Page; and a special friend, Betty Gault of Jonesville.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon.

Active pallbearers will be Jim Gault, Bowen Gault, Tim Fowler, Scott Greene, Mitch Adams, and Justin Steadman.  The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, Mrs. Adams Sunday School Class, along with caregivers, Marion Belue, Beverly House, and special friends Jane Addis, Doris Faucette, Elaine Ellison, Ann Queen, Phyllis Youngblood, Tammy Vaughan, and Rhonda Crocker.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.
