Glenn A. Burns

Mr. Glenn A. Burns, age 91, husband of Betty Morris Burns of 681 Deerhaven Rd., Jonesville, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the Union Medical Center.

Mr. Burns was born in Hickory Grove, August 1, 1931, a son of the late Rufus Marion Burns and Lucille Pursley Burns. He was a graduate of Hickory Gove High School and was retired from Musgrove Mills in Gaffney. Mr. Burns was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years, Betty, are a son, Kent Burns and wife Wendy of Jonesville; a sister, Joyce Hardin of Gastonia, NC; three grandchildren, Alex Burns, Luke Burns and Leah Burns, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Burns was predeceased by a sister, Dollie Burns Broome and a brother, Joe Burns.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Agape Hospice, Ann Martin and Jamie Duncan for their care and compassion shown to Mr. Burns and his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Luke Burns, Brad Whelchel, Scott Hardin, Randy Manus, Randall Burns and Eddie Rector.

The family will be at the home of his son, Kent and Wendy Burns, 601 Rogerstown Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
