Mr. Glenn Everett Crisp, age 77, husband of Bonnie Gregory Crisp of 2717 Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Mr. Crisp was born in Buffalo, September 17, 1936, a son of the late Jessie and Bessie Smith Crisp. He retired from the City of Union, Public Safety Dept. and was previously a deputy with the Union Co. Sheriff's Office. Mr. Crisp was currently owner and operator of the Country Store on Lockhart Hwy. He was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and was also a veteran of the US Army. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Debbie Boyle and husband Stanley of Union; two sons, Mickey Crisp of Chesnee and Thomas Crisp of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, J.W. Crisp of Buffalo; five grandchildren, Melissa Smith Sanders, Matthew Crisp, Tracy Bond, Lindsay Crisp and Montgomery Crisp; and five great-grandchildren, Meghan Garcia, Calab Branch, Jaden Branch, Reanna Branch and Katelynn Riddle. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. John Lee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the Glenn Crisp Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Debbie and Stanley Boyle, 142 Mitchell Rd., Union.
