Grady William Kirby

Mr. Grady William Kirby, age 88, husband of Teri Griggs Kirby of 255 Rogerstown Road, Jonesville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Kirby was born in Jonesville, December 25, 1936, a son of the late Homer Eugene Kirby and Nannie Armenta Moss Kirby. He was the self-employed owner of Kirby Logging Company and was a charter member of Covenant Baptist Church. Mr. Kirby faithfully served in many offices at the church and really enjoyed his time spent as a greeter there.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 29 years, are a daughter, Amanda Eubanks of Jonesville; two grandchildren, Jayci Mychaela Pettit and Matthew Cole Grady; one great grandson, Wyatt Grady; two sisters, Thelma Crawford and husband Gary of Jonesville and Brenda Parkins of Jonesville; his "best little buddy" William "Will" Walton; and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Denise Kirby.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Covenant Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Guy Langston and Rev. Chester Owensby.  Burial will follow at Jonesville Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Matthew Cole Grady, Rodney Woods, Phil Kirby, Mike Kirby, Bobby Kirby, Jr., Michael Fleming, and Dennis Sumner.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.
