Gwen C. Fisher

Mrs. Gwendolyn Ophelia Chambers "Gwen" Fisher, age 75, wife of Charles B. Fisher of 317 Linersville Rd., Buffalo, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Mrs. Fisher was born in Buffalo, April 15, 1948, a daughter of the late James Norman Chambers and Anna Mitchell Chambers and the late Toby Fisher and Frances Chambers. She retired as a supervisor with Conso Products and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Sherry Johnson and husband Ernell of Buffalo; a son, Johnny Fisher and special friend Paula Gibson of Buffalo; an adopted daughter, Jessica Fisher and an adopted son, Adam Fisher both of Buffalo; sister, Sara Jane Parks and husband Mike of Union; and a brother, Phillip Fisher and wife Lyndia of Buffalo. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jimmy, Charles and Anna Johnson and great-grandchildren, Zay, Kayden and Andre. Mrs. Fisher was predeceased by four sisters and six brothers.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Paula Gibson and the staff and nurses of Crescent Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Fisher during her illness.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Estes.  Members of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the services.
