Mr. Harold Francis Becknell, age 88, of 4171 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, widower of Nancy Vinson Becknell, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mr. Becknell was born March 11, 1938, in Union, a son of the late Thomas Carey Becknell and Marie Burgess Becknell. He retired from Mid-Atlantic as a Mechanical Contractor.

Surviving is a son Mike Becknell of Jonesville; a brother Gene Becknell and wife Loretta of Union; a brother-in-law, Bobby Joe Wood of Greer; three grandchildren, Chris Becknell, Nancy Becknell, and Destiny Becknell; six great-grandchildren, Hallie, Alayna, Brayden, Ayden, Holdyn, and Piper; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Steven K. Becknell; a brother, Arthur Becknell; and a sister, Brenda Wood.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Bogansville Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Mr. Bob Redman.

Active pallbearers will be Mr. Becknell’s nephews.

Visitation will be immediately following the services in the Church Fellowship Hall.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Union Medical Center, Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, and Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their love and care of Mr. Becknell.
