Mr. Harold Ray "Bit" Barber, Jr., age 43, 121 City View Circle, Union, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 6, 2020.

Mr. Barber was born July 23, 1976 in Spartanburg, a son of Pamela Moss Lipsey and husband Steve Lipsey, Sr. of Jonesville and Harold Ray Barber, Sr. and life partner Cindy Osborne of Spartanburg.  He was a 1994 graduate of Union High School and a graduate of USC-Union.  Mr. Barber was employed with Wal-Mart in Union and was formerly employed with Gestamp and Disney Distribution.  He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where he was a member of the softball team.  "Bit" as he was known to so many, was a participant and manager with Trans-South Wrestling and was a Saturday Morning sports commentator with WBCU Radio. Most knew "Bit" from his many years as an assistant with the Training and Equipment Staff for the Union County High School Football Team.  He was an avid Union County Yellow Jacket Fan, South Carolina Gamecock Fan, and Miami Dolphin Fan.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Steve Lipsey, Jr. and wife Sarah of Roebuck; two nieces, Brittany and Alyssa Lipsey of Roebuck;  his paternal grandmother, Geraldine Barber of the home; his maternal grandmother, Jeanette Moss of Union; his aunts and uncles, Mike and Cheryl Moss of Union, Dennis and Jan Moss of Gaffney, Penny and Steve Thompson of Jonesville, and David and Linda Barber of Holly Hill; numerous cousins; many, many friends; and his Huskey-Wolf fur baby, "Baby Girl."

Services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Union County Stadium conducted by the Rev. Josh Freeman.  Visitation will be immediately following the services.

The family encourages everyone to wear, Union County High School, Carolina Gamecock or Miami Dolphin colors.

Due to the current upswing in COVID-19 cases, the family respectfully ask that those attending the funeral follow social distancing protocol and wear a mask for your safety as well as the safety of others in attendance.

Honorary pallbearers will be present and past Union County High School Football coaches and players, the members of Trans-South Wrestling, and the staff of WBCU Radio.

The family will hold a private burial at Union Memorial Gardens.
