September 11, 2015 Mr. Harold Bruce Vaughan, age 77, husband of Paulette Williams Vaughan of 737 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015. Mr. Vaughan was born in Union, SC on August 10, 1938 a son of the late J. Frank Vaughan and Fannie "Katie" Vaughan. He was a 1957 graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired after 51 years from Milliken & Co.-Excelsior Plant. Mr. Vaughan was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church and was an avid farmer. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Beth Belue of Union; two sisters, Gail V. Gallman of Jonesville and Kim V. Greer and husband Jimmy of Union; four grandchildren, Brittany Belue, Cody Belue, Loren Vaughan and fiancée Justin Wade, and Laina Vaughan; one great-granddaughter, Kinzli Wade; two step-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Steven Vaughan and one brother, Franklin Vaughan. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Lee. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Cody Belue, Boyd McAbee, Jim Summa, Adam Caudill, Petey Ivey, Donald Howell, and Bruce Sparks. The farmers and friends of Union County are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held 1:30 until 3:00 in the Brown's Creek Baptist Church Activity Building prior to the services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brown's Creek Baptist Church, 118 Brown's Creek Church Road, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 737 Brown's Creek Church Road, Union, SC 29379.
