Harold A. Lee

September 18, 2017 Mr. Harold Alonzo Lee, age 82, husband of Faye William Lee of 152 Peach Shed Rd., Jonesville, passed away Saturday, surrounded by his family at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lee was born in Union Co., November 23, 1934 a son of Ruth M. Lee of Union and the late Lucy Waldrop Lee, who died when he was young child, and the late J.K. Lee. Mr. Lee was retired from United Merchants, Union Mill where from the time he was a young man, he took care of his mother, brothers and sisters. He was an active member of Morningside Baptist Church where he was the former Bus Driver and was a member of the Gene Adams Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters, Lorie Head and husband Thomas of Jonesville and Lisa Faulks and husband David of Union; two sons, Terry Lee and wife Faye and Shannon Lee and wife Samantha all of Union; four sisters, Shirley Lancaster of Jonesville, Mae Williams of Union, Nancy Lawson of North Carolina and Linda Jones of Union, three brothers, James Lee and Joe Lee both of Union and Ernest Lee of Kannapolis, NC; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Lee was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Faye Lee and a sister, Alice Johnson. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dr. Aulbrey Calvert and Rev. Josh Freeman. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to the Morningside Baptist Church, Air Conditioner Fund, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of his daughter, Lisa and David Faulks, 1218 Kelly Rd., Union.
