Harrell S. Bright Sr.

March 31, 2019 Mr. Harrell Steven Bright, Sr., age 78, husband of Peggy Millwood Bright of 124 Osborne St., Union, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home. Mr. Bright was born in Woodruff, August 26, 1940, a son of the late Clyde Kimsey Bright and Daisey Zimmerman Bright. He was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant and was a faithful attendant of Oakland Road Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Donna Bright Stewart and husband Chris and Lucy Bright all of Union; two sons, Harrell Bright, Jr. and Bobby Dean Bright also of Union; a sister, Judy Bright Kendrick and husband Jackie of Augusta, GA; five grandchildren, Erica K. Young of Union, Samantha S. Williams and husband Jake of AL, Ashley D. Bright of Spartanburg, Blake S. Bright and Allen K. Bright both of Union; and four great-grandchildren, Lorenzo Wilson, Alayah Wilson, Blakelee Bright and Tinsely Bright. Mr. Bright was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Wooten and two brother, Donald and Grover Bright. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Oakland Road Missionary Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Joseph Ballard. The family will receive friends immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakland Road Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 130, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 124 Osborne St., Union.
