Harvey Smith

September 16, 2016 Mr. Harvey Smith, age 81, husband of Shirley Inman Smith of 106 Third Street, Union, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Union Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born in Union, SC October 3, 1934, a son of the late Zeb Smith and Virgie Inman Smith. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and was retired from the county of Union. Mr. Smith was a member of the Union Church of God. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Debbie Edwards; a brother, D.C. Smith and wife Connie all of Union; five grandchildren; and special friends, Jamie Babb and wife Ann and Michael Howell and wife Amy all of Union. Mr. Smith was predeceased by three daughters, Sheila Parker, Tammy Inman and Cricket Moore; a son, Brian Smith and two granddaughters, Gabriel Queen and Amy Lynn Moore. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2016 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Roger Roof and Rev. Merritt Wentz. Visitation will be held in the chapel following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shirley Smith, 106 Third Street, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 106 Third Street, Union.
