Haskell Donald "Don" Mitchell, Jr.

Mr. Haskell Donald "Don" Mitchell, Jr., age 64, of 304 Buffalo West Springs Highway, Union, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Don was born October 10, 1958 in Union, a son of the late Haskell Donald "Hack" Mitchell, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Vaughan Mitchell.  He was a 1976 graduate of Union High School and graduated from Spartanburg Technical College with a degree in Machine Tool Technology.  Don was employed at Timken—Tyger River Plant for 41 years.  He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.  Don loved being a mechanic and racing go carts with family and friends.

Surviving are a brother, Lynn Mitchell and wife Missy of Jonesville; a nephew, Rob Mitchell; and a niece, Anna Mitchell.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Robert Scott.  Visitation will be immediately following the services.
