Hayward W. Baber, Jr.

Mr. Hayward W. Baber, Jr., age 48 of 205 Partridge Rd., Union, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Union Medical Center. Mr. Baber was born in Union, May 23, 1968, a son of Wayne Baber of Union and the late Doris Wix. He was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Union Co. in the Public Works Department. Mr. Baber was a member of the Union Church of Christ. Surviving in addition to his father are his step-mother, Barbara J. Baber of Union; a sister, Shana B. Cousino and husband Mark of Union and his maternal grandmother, Wilma Wix. Mr. Baber was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Veston Wix and paternal grandparents, John and Altie Baber. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Minister Michael Grooms. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to the Boiling Springs Church of Christ, 870 Double Bridge Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family will be at the home of his grandmother, Wilma Wix, 242 Barnado Rd., Union.
