April 14, 2015 Mrs. Hazel Estes Plexico, age 89, formerly of Pinckney St., Union, widow of Woodrow Wilson Plexico, passed away, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Mrs. Plexico was born in Cross Keys, October 16, 1925, a daughter of the late Arthur Judson Estes and Bertha Mae Womack Estes. She was retired from Torrington Co. and had previously worked for Milliken Co., Excelsior Mill. Mrs. Plexico was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Rita Gibson and husband Bob of Greenville; a son, Curtis Plexico and wife Kathy of Union; three grandchildren, Angie Camp and husband Tim of Greenville, Ashley Gough and husband Michael of Union and Allen Plexico and wife Ashley of Spartanburg and 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Plexico was predeceased by four brothers, A.J., Charles, Fred and Wilson Estes. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Jarvis. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Allen Plexico, Michael Gough, Tim Camp, Lee Davis, Thomas Gibson and Russell Grady. Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the services. Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family will be at the home of her son, Curtis and Kathy Plexico, 223 Harwood Heights, Union, SC 29379.
