Helen G. Bailey

Mrs. Helen Gault Bailey, age 89, widow of William Carl "Buster" Bailey, formerly of Lockhart, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Bailey was born in Union Co., June 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Sam T. Gault and Era Eaves Gault. She was retired from Community Cash and was an active member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the choir and the Mary Ruth Vanderford Sunday School class. Mrs. Bailey was first married to the late Jimmy Cabaniss.

Surviving are three daughters, Dale Cabaniss and Gale Douglas both of the home, and Phoebe Ann Cabaniss of Union; four granddaughters, Allison Waters and husband Jamey, Sherri Kirby, and Mary Ann Seagle and husband Wilson all of Union and Candas Houghton of Florida; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bailey was predeceased by a special grandson, Chuck Cabaniss, a sister, Vivian Gault and a brother, O'dell Gault.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2021 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Casey Woodsby, Jamey Waters, Wilson Seagle, Raygan Angel, Leontay Jeter and Tony Waters.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the services.
