Helen (Lamb) Palmer

Mrs. Helen Lamb "Big Mama" Palmer, age 90, formerly of Lockhart, widow of Harry Bruce Palmer, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at Inverness of Spartanburg.

Mrs. Palmer was born July 6, 1931, in Lockhart, a daughter of the late Thomas Lamb and Viola Scales Lamb.  She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Columbia Commercial College.  Mrs. Palmer retired from Milliken & Co.—Excelsior Plant after over 40 years.  She was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years.

Surviving are a brother, Ronnie Lamb and wife Barbara; several nieces and nephews; and two dear friends, Patsy and Shirley Cromer.  She was predeceased by a son, Randy Palmer.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Don McCutcheon.  Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery.
