Henry Robert Evans

Mr. Henry Robert Evans, age 83, of 959 Gaffney Hwy., Jonesville, widower of Jean Buice Evans, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Mr. Evan was born in Union, February 5, 1942, a son of the late Grady S. Evans and Sarah Earley Evans. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from AT&T as a service technician. Mr. Evans was a member of Gilead Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, and usher, a member of the Choir and served on the Cemetery Committee. He was a member of the Prudence Masonic Lodge #139 in Jonesville.

The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Goings and husband Robin of Jonesville and Shanna Eubanks and husband Charlie of Gaffney. He is also survived by grandchildren, Stacie Ferrell and husband Tim of Jonesville and Sarah Evans Bambach and husband Justin of Rock Hill; great-grandchildren, Nathan Austin, and Wrigley Ferrell and step-great grandchildren, Creighton Ferrell and Adelynn Ferrell. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kayla Teal West, four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:45 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Grady Evans, Ben Waddle, Jamie Morris, Tommy Blackwood, Robbie Bentley and Josh Gault.
