Henry F. Johnson

July 18, 2015 Mr. Henry F. Johnson, age 87, formerly of Carem Rd., widower of Irene Quinn Johnson, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born in Buffalo, April 25, 1928, a son of the late Hammie Milton Johnson, Sr. and Stella Reece Johnson. He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Eaton and husband Michael of Moore; a son, Ricky Johnson and wife Denise of Easley; a brother, Hammie Milton Johnson, Jr. of Union; five grandchildren, Jonathan Marcy, Christopher Marcy, Bradford Marcy, Erin Hill and Amanda Cook; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by two sisters, Eulala Harrison and Launa Crisp. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 20, 2015 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Guy Langston. The family will receive friends at the cemetery prior to the services beginning at 10:15 AM Monday. The family will be at their respective homes.
