Henry Lee Richardson

Mr. Henry Lee Richardson, age 67, husband of Jackie Justice Richadson of 217 Justice Rd., Buffalo, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at his home. Mr. Richardson was born in Gastonia, NC January 11, 1948. He was a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Richardson was a Veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam and retired as Master Sargent from the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of Putman Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Brotherhood Director, and an assistant teacher of the Jessie Caldwell Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Justun Richardson and fiancée Amanda Wright of Buffalo and Jeff Richardson of Union; a sister, Barbara Childers and husband Johnny; a brother, Roger Robinson and wife Shirley all of Union; a son-in-law, Shane Kirkland of Asheville, NC and six granddaughters and five grandsons. Mr. Richardson was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Jackie Dale Kirkland and a sister, Francis Cox. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Putman Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Rick Henderson and Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors. The following are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers: Deacons and former Deacons of Putman Baptist Church, members of the Jessie Caldwell Sunday School Class, members of the Brotherhood, Johnny and Polly Alexander and David Betenbaugh. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Charlotte Gillespie, 251 Saddlebrook Drive, Commander DAV 3, Moore, SC 29369. The family is at the home, 217 Justice Rd., Buffalo.
