Herbert Leon Williams

Mr. Herbert Leon Williams, age 90, of 320 Vernon Foster Road, Union, widower of Myrtle Vinson Williams, passed away at his home, Thursday, October 11, 2018. Mr. Williams was born in Union, August 12,1928, a son of the late Danny and Mamie Alexander Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired textile worker. Mr. Williams was a member of Gilead Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon and was active in the Training Union program. Mr. Williams is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are three sons; Doug Williams of Union, Larry Williams and wife Angie of Jonesville, and Paul Williams of the home; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel. The family is at the home, 320 Vernon Foster Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
