Herschell Maurice Spellman

Mr. Herschall Maurice Spellman, Jr., age 81, of 101 Scott Street, Union, widower of Linda Bain Spellman, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Spellman was born August 27, 1943, in Portland, Maine, a son of the late Herschall Maurice Spellman, Jr. and Marjorie Rioux Spellman.  He retired as owner and operator of H&L Trucking.  Mr. Spellman was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Surviving are a daughter, Heather Spellman of Omaha, NE; a step-daughter, Jennifer Sprouse of Mayo; two grandsons, Xandyr Sanchez and Harley Stewart both of Omaha, NE; a step-granddaughter, Autumn Sprouse of Mayo; a step-grandson, Aaron Sprouse of Mayo; and a brother, Phillip Spellman.  He was predeceased by a son, Josh Spellman and grandson, Donovan J. Sanchez, Jr.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2024, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Robert Scott.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
