Ida Leoma Hicks

Mrs. Ida Leoma Hicks, age 88, of 315 South 6th St., Lockhart, widow of Frank Hicks, passed away, July 28 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Hicks was born July 18, 1938, in Union, a daughter of the late Dave Moore and Zettie Mae Sanders Paris. She had retired from Conso, where she worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Hicks loved to cook, bake, do crafts, loving her children, grandchildren and her dogs.

Surviving are a son, Larry Hicks of the home; grandchildren, Kacie Correll (Joseph), Wendy Calhoun (John), Chris Hicks (Lisa), Kyle Hicks, Braxton Hicks and Chris Quinn; great grandchildren, Aden Rhinehart, Ta’Gn Vicars, Nathaniel Hall, Jaheim Hall, Isaiah Hall, Jamison Hicks, Liam Hicks, Willow Hicks, and Stephanie Smith. Mrs. Hicks also leaves behind her two dogs, Toby and Tiny. She was predeceased by her sons, Roger Hicks, and James Hicks, a daughter, Kaye Vaughan, a great granddaughter, Skylar Hicks, brothers, Deam Moore, and Johnny Moore and his wife, Margie and a sister, Brenda Parris.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Pastor Terry Lawing. Burial will follow the services at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Aden Rhinehart, Nathaniel Hall, Jahiem Hall, Isaiah Hall, Joseph Correll, and John Calhoun.
