Ina Parlin Evans

July 1, 2018 Mrs. Ina Frances Parlin Evans, age 94, widow of David Evans, Sr. passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center. Mrs. Evans was born in Waltham, Massachusetts August 30, 1923, a daughter of the late George Phillip Parlin and Freda Welch Parlin. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Gregg and Kathy Tweed and her son, Grady, all of Jonesville; two granddaughters, Sissy Mabry and Marsha Vinson; a grandson, Jeff Tweed; six great-grandsons: David Vinson, Thomas, Joseph, Daniel and Michael Mabry and Garrett Tweed; a great-great-grandson, Callan Mabry and a great-great-granddaughter, Josie Lein Vinson and a special friend, Dorothy Smith of Union. Mrs. Evans was predeceased by two sons, David Evans, Jr., and Grady "GG" Evans and a great-granddaughter, Presley Tweed. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ellen Sagar Nursing Center, her home for over ten years. Mrs. Evans was very involved with Ellen Sagar, having served several years as Resident Council President. Medi-Home Hospice served Mrs. Evans faithfully during her declining days. The family will be at the home of her son, Grady Evans, 640 Alman Street, Jonesville, SC 29353.
