Irene Conard Lee

Irene (Tug) Conard Lee, 93, of Lockhart, SC passed away Dec.3, 2014. She was the widow of Robert Edward Lee, Sr. Mrs. Lee was born on Sept, 8, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Virgie Black Conard. Mrs. Lee was a member of the Lockhart First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Robert (Bobby) Lee Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Irmo, SC, two grandsons, Britton Lee and his wife, Wendy, of Irmo and Robby Lee of Denver, CO, her beloved great-granddaughters, Olivia and Alyssa Lee of Irmo, and a brother, Charles (Dick) Conard of Lockhart, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lloyd (Red)Conard, John T. (Bud) Conrad, and W.E. (Runt) Conard and sisters, Louise Rash, Jerusha Palmer, Marie Stephenson, and Carolyn McKnight. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am at Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel, Union, SC on Saturday, Dec. 6. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 at the chapel. Pallbearers will be Tim Gregory, Johnny McKnight, Tracy Rash, Wayne Porter, Esten Conard, and Mack Rash. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland (Oakmont) Health Care Center for their compassion and wonderful care shown during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, PO Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364 or Sharing God's Love, 147 Friarsgate Blvd, Irmo, SC 29063. The family will be at the home of her niece, Shelly and Troy Vaughan, 4297 Jonesville-Lockkhart Hwy, Union, SC 29379 (Lochkart Community).
