Mrs. Iris Mae Lawson, age 88, widow of Bobby Joe Lawson, of 1733 Mt. Lebanon Road, Pauline, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord February 13, 2025, at her home.
Mrs. Lawson was born on March 15, 1936, in Union, daughter of the late Larry Lawson and Marie Simmons Lawson. She was a retired textile worker having worked for Ottaray Mill and a graduate of Cross Anchor High School.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by a son, Dennis Lawson and his wife, Ava Gail of Pauline; a grandson, Jason Allen Lawson and his wife Kayla; and two grandchildren, Aubrey Lawson and Kason Lawson. Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by a grandson, Chris Lawson, sisters, Clorise Duncan, Katie Nelson, Merle Lawson and Alice Lawson and brothers, Earl Lawson, Lloyd Lawson, Melvin Lawson, and Joe Lawson.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Norman Band, Rev. Melvin Shelton and Rev. Carroll Caldwell. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon church cemetery conducted by Rev. Dr. Joe Moore and Rev. Norman Band. Visitation will be held at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Joey Duncan, Don Tucker, Otis Hembree, Randy Beardon, T.J. Farmer and Bud Mabry.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Lawson's caregiver, Beth Willy, for her love and care.
The family will be at the home, 1733 Mt. Lebanon Church Road, Pauline.
