Dr. J. Andrea Kelly

Dr. J. Andrea Kelly of Martha Franks, Laurens, South Carolina, formally of 1071 Greenview Drive, Florence, South Carolina passed into Eternal Life on April 14, 2026.

Dr. Kelly was born in Union, SC on November 17, 1947, a daughter of the late Jack Kelly, Jr. and Frances Keisler Kelly.

Dr. Kelly was an educator since 1969. She previously taught in Anderson District One, Greenville County Schools, South Carolina Department of Education, Lexington District Five, Darlington County Schools and Hoke County Schools. She was a teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal.

She was a wonderful educator who loved her students. Surviving are one sister and three brothers. Mary Frances Kelly Woodall and her husband Dr. Michael V. Woodall, Sr., of Columbia; Ret. Lt. Col Thomas Russell Kelly and his wife, Laurie, of Marshall, Virginia, Jack Kelly III of Union, and Richard McKay Kelly and his fiancée, Leigh Ann Walden of Union. She was predeceased by a sister, Eva Marie Kelly and sister-in-law, Linda Smith Kelly.

Dr. Kelly was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church where she was a member of the choir. She was also active in the Daughter’s of the King. Dr. Kelly was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Eta Chapter. She had many friends, and was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Martha Franks and Crescent Hospice for their care of her during her illness.
