December 4, 2017 Mr. Jack Wayne Bowman, age 68, husband of Barbara Lovelace Bowman of 431 Old English Rd., Union, went home to be with his Savior and Lord on December 4, 2017 after a long illness. Mr. Bowman was born in Lovelady Township, Caldwell Co., NC, June 18, 1949 a son of the late Robert Arnold Bowman and Viola Hollar Bowman. Prior his illness, Mr. Bowman was employed Tietex International and had also worked as a supervisor with Watts Mill. He was a member of Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church where he played the guitar and banjo and sang for the Lord. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Barbara Bowman Baker and husband Steve of Gamewell, NC and Brenda Bowman Lambert and husband Michael of Hudson, NC; a son, Anthony "Andy" Bowman and wife Megan of Munice, IN; two step-daughters, Angela "Angie" Millwood Hines of Union and Stacy Millwood Allen of Mt. Juliet, TN; three brothers, Fred Bowman and wife Betty and John Bowman and wife Louise all of Granite Falls, NC and James "Bud" Bowman and wife Margaret of Lenoir, NC; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and their families. Mr. Bowman was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church conducted by Bro. Charles Hutcheson and Bro. Raymond Ford. Visitation will be held immediately following the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church, 200 Velda Dr., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 431 Old English Rd., Union.
