Jack Richard “Ricky” Ivey

Mr. Jack Richard "Ricky" Ivey, age 58, of 103 Peay Ave., Union, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at his home. Mr. Ivey was born in Union, August 17, 1955, a son of the late Jack W. Ivey and Dorothy Malpass Ivey. He was formerly employed with Conso Products and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Cheryl Martin and husband Jimmy of the home; a niece, Angel Ochiltree and husband Josh of Union; a nephew, Timothy Wayne Martin of the home; a great niece, Libby Allison; three great-nephews, Peyton, Jayden and Colton Ochiltree all of Union; two aunts, Teresa Lawson and Susie Lipsey both of Union; two uncles, Bobby Malpass of Cayce; Johnny Malpass of Texas; and a special friend, Tonya Knight of Ware Shoals. Mr. Ivey was predeceased by a brother, Terry Ivey. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Lakeside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Timothy Martin, Steven Howell, Sr., Stanley Mosley, Lee Smith, Zachery Young, Corey Johnson, Mike Scott, Audie Epps, and Ronnie Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be former employees of Conso Shipping Dept., members of the Adult One Sunday School Class of Lakeside Baptist Church, Eddie Berry, Joey Connard, Sandy Ivey, Pam Phipps, and Dr. David Keith. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Ricky Ivey Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of his niece, Angel and Josh Ochiltree, 347 Old Ferry Rd., Union.
