Jackie Dean Bailey

Mr. Jackie Dean Bailey, age 78, husband of Janice Guinn Bailey of 4706 Jonesville Lockhart Hwy, Union, SC passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mr. Bailey was born in Lockhart, SC December 28, 1939, a son of the late Wilson Bailey and Eva Farr Bailey. He was a 1964 graduate of Wofford; retired from the Textile Industry and was owner of Bailey's Grill. Mr. Bailey was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class. He was also a member of Hejaz Shrine Temple, Lockhart Lodge #244. Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-seven years are a daughter, Leisa Bailey of Lancaster, SC ; a son, Jeff Bailey and wife Kim of Union; five grandchildren: Aaron Bailey, Ethan Bailey, Kirk Barnes, Ashlei Barnes and Bailey Barnes; a brother, William Bailey of Greenville. Mr. Bailey was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Bailey. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Re. Delos Blanton. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Active pallbearers will be Joey Allen, Sammy Webber, Mike Vanderford, Barry Palmer, Tony Farr and Dale Inman. Members of the Adult II Sunday School Class are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at Lockhart First Baptist Church.
