September 8, 2019 Mr. Jackie Donald Haney, age 80, of 905 Linersville Rd., Buffalo, SC., widower of Virginia McDaniel Haney, went home to be with the Lord, September 8, 2019, at Union Medical Center. Mr. Haney was born in Union, SC., August 7, 1939, a son of the late Donald Haney and Bernice Millwood Haney. He attended Union High School and retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing Company. Mr. Haney was a lifelong member of Buffalo United Methodist Church, where he attended faithfully, as long as his health permitted. He especially enjoyed serving in the music ministry, where he sang in the church choir and in earlier years sang with The Good News Singers Gospel Quartet. Mr. Haney was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his grandson, Michael Scott Moore, of Buffalo. Mr. Haney was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Haney Moore. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Miriam Mick and Rev. Kevin Dalton. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Terry Howell, Jimmy Maness, Ricky O'Dell, Robert Williams, Keith Wright, Mike Johnson and Ruben Hunter. The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort: members of the Buffalo United Methodist Choir and Friends from Buffalo Mill Pond.
