James Allen Shetley

Mr. James Allen "Tank" Shetley, age 65, formerly of Pinckney Place, Union, widower of Mary Shetley, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at PRWC of Spartanburg.

Mr. Shetley was born June 16, 1957, in Union, a son of the late James Frank Shetley and Betty DeHart Shetley.  He retired as a logging truck driver and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

Surviving is a sister, Cheryl Smith of Union; four grandchildren, Skylar Gilbert, Madison Gilbert, Shelby Gilbert, and Summer Gilbert; a nephew, Brad Shetley and wife Autumn and their family.  He was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Shetley and a brother, Robby Shetley.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Andrew Austin. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services.
