James C. Ammons, Jr

Mr. James C. Ammons, Jr., age 72, husband of Vicky Cato Ammons, of 271 Providence Rd., Spartanburg passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ammons was born in Union, SC on April 10, 1943 a daughter of the late James C. Ammons, Sr. and Marjorie Fowler Ammons. He was graduate of Union High School and Mars Hill College. He was employed with L.P. Gas for 38 years. Mr. Ammons was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church where he was a trustee of the church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Christy Senn and husband Conrad of Greer; two sons, James C. Ammons, III and wife Allison of Easley and Kevin C. Ammons and wife Kristen of Charlotte; nine grandchildren, Blake Senn, Alex Senn, Tyler Senn, Jay Ammons, Ryan Ammons, Ashley Kate Ammons, Hollis Ammons, Maren Ammons, and Grady Ammons. He was predeceased by a sister, Nicki Dease. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Richard Lewis. Visitation will immediately follow the services. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Methodist Church, 105 McKay Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg Co., P.O.
