James Carl Babb

Mr. James Carl Babb, age 86, husband of Lynn Camby Babb, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at Oakmont/Union Post Acute.

Mr. Babb was born in Union, November 18, 1937 a son of the late Herbert and Lily Mae Varner Babb. He retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a member of Faith Community Church (Union Church of God).

Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years, Lynn, are a daughter, Angie Duncan and husband Robin; a sister, Kathy Stokes all of Union; a brother, Harold Babb of Buffalo; and three grandchildren, Deanne Smith (Kristi), Anthony "A.J." Duncan and Joshua Price. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jackie Lynn Groves Price; a son, Marvin Carl Babb; a grandson, Matthew Price and three brothers, Jr. Babb, Walker Babb and Edward Babb.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Faith Community Church conducted by Rev. Steven McAbee. The family will receive friend Thursday from 11:30 until 12:30 PM at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home of his grandson, A.J. Duncan, 204 Canterberry Rd., Union.
