James A. Belk

Mr. James Alfred Belk, age 43 of 128 Clairmont Rd., Union, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Belk was born in Union, March 28, 1979, a son of Alfred and Harriette Moore Belk. He was a 1997 graduate of Union High School where he was a member of the 1995 State Championship football team. James was also a member of the Wrestling team and the GT Drama Club. After graduation he made his home in Charleston, moving back to Union in 2015 where he was employed with Belk Distribution. James was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Kevin Belk and wife Charlotte of Charleston, and three nieces who were the light of his life, Avery, Hayes and Noah.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Philippi Baptist Church cemetery conducted by Rev. Robert Scott. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church Debt Reduction Fund, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home, 128 Clairmont Rd., Union.
