James "Beanie" Boyd Nabors, Jr.

Mr. James "Beanie" Nabors, Jr., age 69, husband of Tammy Patterson, of 238 Old McKown Farm Rd., Gaffney, passed away, Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Nabors was born November 27, 1951 in Spartanburg, a son of the late James Boyd Nabors, Sr. and Fredna Louise Grady Bentley.  He was a graduate of Cleveland Community College where he earned a degree in Autobody Welding and had retired as a truck driver.  Mr. Nabors was a member of Westside Baptist Church.  He was a Mason, a Shriner, and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, James Boyd Nabors, III and wife Bera of Jonesville and Bradley Patterson of the home; two daughters, Natasha Hill of Union and Ronna Knight of Spartanburg; a sister, Janice Hughes of Union; five grandchildren, Cody Hill of Union, Annie Hill and boyfriend Brian of Union, Noah Hill of Maggie Valley, Brayden Patterson of the home, and Peyton Sanford of Jonesville; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Wells of Union and Savannah Hill of Greenwood; a nephew, Dale Clark of Pauline; two nieces, LeaAnn Hughes of Union and Katie Duncan and husband Johnny of Greenwood; five great-nephews, T.T. Burros, Samuel Brannon, Logan Duncan, Terry Smith, Jr., and Michael Duncan; four great-nieces, Nikki Roberts, Andrea Clark, Alexis Burros, and Timesha Land; a number of great-great nieces and nephews; a special couple to the family, Bobby and JoAnn Burgess of Enoree; and four fur babies, BamBam, Powder, Nanna, and Dee.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Due to the current health crisis those in attendance are asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines, by social distancing and wearing masks.
