James D. Brock, Buffalo, Sc Sr.

Mr. James D. Brock, Sr., age 90, husband of Mable Vinson Brock of 141 Dana Tara Lane, Buffalo, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his home. Mr. Brock was born in Buffalo, SC February 6, 1924, a son of the late Tom Brock and Lillie Mae Barnett Brock. He was a retired electrician with Davis Mechanical and served as a Methodist minister for several years. He was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Buffalo. Mr. Brock was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Susan of the home, Judie Fowler of Portland, Oregon and Brenda Moss and husband Bobby of Union; three sons: Jim Brock and wife Grace of Pawley's Island, Maxie Brock and wife Evelyn of Aiken and Tim Brock and wife Tracey of Indian Trail, NC; a granddaughter Skylar of the home and nineteen other grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Brock was predeceased by a sister and five brothers. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Robert Branch and Rev. Ron Towery. Food and fellowship will follow the services at Buffalo United Methodist Church. The family wishes to say a special thank you to employees and staff of Blue Ridge Hospice and also to the caregivers of Mr. Brock for their special care during his illness. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family is at the home, 141 Dana Tara Lane, Buffalo.
