James C. Dabbs

Mr. James C. "Buster" Dabbs, age 88, husband of Ruth Ham Dabbs of 3915 Foster Dr. Sharon, SC. 29742 passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Dabbs was born in Lockhart, July 1, 1931, a son of the late L.J. Dabbs and Mary Justice Dabbs. He was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church and formerly employed with Milliken and company-Lockhart plant. Mr. Dabbs retired with Charlie Walker Auto Sales. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mary Thomas and husband Ron of Gaffney; a son, Dennis Dabbs and wife Sherryl of Boling Springs; two brothers, Olin Dabbs and wife Laura and Dean Dabbs all of Lockhart; a sister, Louise Meyers of Rutherford, NC; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mr. Dabbs was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Briggs. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Sam Baine and Dr. Rev. Brian Stepp. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist church. The family is at their respective homes.
